I-9 Audits Announced
Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) will be doing another round of I-9 Audits. More than 1,000 businesses across the U.S. will be audited in this sweep, but there is no indication yet on what industries will be targeted. Audited companies will have to supply ICE officials with I-9 forms (and other documents), which are used to verify a worker’s identity and eligibility for employment in the U.S. You must have I-9's on file, even if all of your employees date back to the Mayflower.
